Joseph Thomas Kearney

Joe passed away on July 25, 2022. He leaves his children Dylan and Jason Kearney and his former spouse Karen (Winson) Kearney. Joe also is survived by his brothers Stephen, John, and Paul Kearney. Joe was predeceased by his parents Helen Joan (Gaffney) and John James Kearney.

Joe was born in Washington, DC on June 12, 1964. He graduated from Charles W. Woodward High School, the University of Maryland, and earned an MBA from the University of Baltimore. Joe had a successful career in legal services management, first at the law firm Arnold & Porter and later at several specialist firms.

Joe was most passionate about his children, Dylan and Jason, whom he loved very much, and he enjoyed telling his family members and friends about the latest in their growth into adulthood. Joe also was very enthusiastic about his strong network of close friends. He had a magnetic personality that attracted many friends throughout his life.

A private memorial service and burial were held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In remembrance of Joe’s life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to Best Friends Animal Society.
