"Uncle John" to me, my Mother's brother, son to Hedy and Joseph, husband of Marion, father of Rebecca, grandfather to Jonah and Elona. John was an accomplished violinist, a study section leader at the National Institutes of Health, an alumnus of Johns Hopkins University and a distinguished member of the US Army, using his German language fluency as an interrogator. You were an inspiration to our family and your memory will be for a blessing. Rest in Power,  Uncle John.
