Joann Tracy Brown departed this life on Sunday, April 26, 2020, at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville, MD. She had been battling pancreatic cancer since the Summer of 2018, and complications from a medical procedure to relieve symptoms associated will her illness eventually took her life.
Tracy was born on November 21, 1967, unto the late Gene Autry Jones, Sr. and Hilda Mae Jordan. Tracy LOVED the Lord, and ENJOYED being a mom, not just to her kids, but to other’s as well. Her love and warmth had such a far reach. She was an inspiration to so many people, even those she didn’t know. She was always sharing a friendly, vibrant smile and a warm “hello” and a gracious compliment to anybody that crossed her path, whether in a grocery store, at a public event, or at her workplace. Everyone regarded her as “their” friend. They regarded her connection with them as special and unique – indeed, a very grounding and magnetic presence in their life.
Tracy’s life ministry of inspiring and uplifting folk didn’t stop with her beautiful smile and warm hello, but it was also reflected in her soulful singing and dancing, her charisma, wit, and random, off-the-cuff, comedic talent – which often had you rolling on the floor and crying in a fit of laughter!
