James “Jimmy” Truman Fowler, Jr. was born September 1, 1977 in Washington, D.C. to Evelyn Fowler and the late James Truman Fowler, Sr. He departed this life on April 15, 2019. He was a busy little boy; cleverly mastering the art of escaping from his crib or finding barrettes to flush down the toilet. By his fifth birthday, he had mastered riding a bike, and had moved on to attempting jumps. He never missed the opportunity to make others laugh with a quick smile or a joke, a true entertainer. In sixth grade, he got sent out of the room for disrupting the class, only to keep the party going in the hall; laughing so hard that his friends were still laughing in the classroom. He loved to be with people; gathering together at any given opportunity to have a good time.
He was alumni to both Beltsville Adventist Elementary School and Takoma Academy. His early career explored a variety of jobs in the culinary arts. He maintained the loved to cook, getting in the kitchen when the opportunities allowed. He later found his passion in truck driving; exploring new places, and never turning down an opportunity to be a mentor and a friend to his coworkers and trainees. When not out on the road, he helped out with the Tri-State Bassett Hound Rescue; loved by dogs and all that came to know him. Over the course of his journeys, he met his fiancé, Christina Holladay; finding happiness, and letting go of the past. Together they made a home, and took care of their many fur babies.
He was proceeded in death by his sister Avis Rochelle Aylor and his father, James Truman Fowler, Sr.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving fiancé, Christina; mother, Evelyn; two sisters: Janelle and Joy, five nieces and nephews: Courtney, Hailey, James “L.J.”, Anthony, and Noah, and a host of many other family and friends.
