Mr. James Henry Sutton Sr. resided in Germantown, MD departed this life on July 10, 2021. James (aka) Uncle Dump was born in Wayne County Goldsboro, NC to the late Leon Sutton and Effie Dunn. Mr. Sutton attended Wayne County Public Schools. James met and married the woman of his dreams Bobbie Ann Williams in 1955. This Holy union produced eight beautiful children.
In 1957 James Sutton Sr. and Bobbie Ann Sutton moved to Washington, DC to pursue a better life for them and their family. Mr. Sutton worked tirelessly for the Montgomery County Public School system for 35 years as a building service manager until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years Bobbie Ann Sutton, a brother Nick Sutton, and sister Bessie Cox. Mr. James Sutton Sr. leaves behind eight children James Sutton Jr., Mary Sutton, Charlene Sutton, Patrick and Donna Sutton, Sylvia Sutton, Marlo and John Donovan, Beverly Sutton, and Mona Sutton. In addition, James leaves behind 2 sisters Essie and George Johnson, Viola Jenkins, Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, and a host of friends forever.
