My wife Lila have known Gerson and I have corresponded with him for many years on all subjects of life and the practice of medicine. I knew him when he studied engineering at Cooper Union and the Law and finally Medicine. A renowned authority on ultrasound and radiology Gerson was one of the brightest and kindest souls I’ve ever  known. He will be missed by all whose life he touched . Lila and I were heartbroken at his illness and bravery in dealing  with it. Our condolences to his amazing family and especially to his loving wife Chaya.

I was saddened to learn of Gerson’s passing. He was a great friend and a fellow seeker of triumph over golf. We played a lot of golf together, both at Cattail Creek in Maryland and outings to Florida and on Hilton Head after Carolyn and I moved here.

This weekend I watched the Honda Classic Golf Tournament PGA National Resort and Spa in Florida. Gerson and I played there twice, once just after that year’s tournament. We also played at Doral and Sawgrass in Florida and my club here as well as a couple others in the area.

We were fortunate to have had the opportunity to enjoy lunch with Chaya and Gerson and the Roberts last August when we visited Maryland.  It was great to catch up with everyone.  Carolyn and I send our condolences to Chaya and the family.
