To Ken, Junior and Michael - My deepest sympathies on the passing of Gerri. My heart is heavy but I'm am also smiling thinking back to the many memories I have of Gerri. We initially met when she first arrived in Washington to work at the South African Embassy. We had a lovely group of friends who saw each others regularly and always had lots of fun together. I was privileged to be an honourary member of her family when I lived in South Africa. Her family invited me to join them often. I have such fond memories of my time in South Africa because I was made to feel so welcome there. Gerri will be missed by her numerous friends and colleagues. Gerri remained so positive and we all thought she would pull through yet another treatment but this was not to be. My heart goes out her many friends and family. 
Ken, Junior and Michael - May God give you the strength to get through this difficult period and help you to deal with the tremendous pain you are feeling. Please know that others are also feeling a loss but I am grateful to have known and loved Gerri over 35 years.

Gerri was such a light in my life!  I learned so much from her the first day that I came to KPMG 7 years ago. I will miss her, but know that she's out of pain and rejoicing forever more. Her love for people is what drove her and encouraged me even the more.  Her last e-mail to me was that she would see me in August when she returned to the office.  I'm sure she had every intention but God had an eternal plan for her!

She was one of our favorite people.  We always looked forward to seeing her at KPMG Alumni activities.  She was always upbeat and so cheerful.  Always a "can do" attitude.

Gerri was such a light in this world. Our team at work "adopted" her, and we're so glad we did. Our once-formal department luncheons turned into us laughing so hard we'd choke on our food - so we invited her back again and again! She always thought to deliver each of us personalized holiday gifts, peonies from her garden, and even gifts from her travels. I think we were all in denial that we could lose her so soon. What a strong, brave fight she fought. We miss you terribly, Gerri.

To all her fellow workers, past and present, the many friends your presence and kind words to myself and my dad were truly appreciated. It is so tough to accept she is gone and our lives continue. Thank you all

I will always remember Gerri as a kind and caring friend.  She loved her family dearly and was a truly giving person.  When I spoke to her while she was recovering from her battle, she was always upbeat and I always thought she would beat the illness that had such a hold on her.  I was shocked to hear of her passing and will remember her always as the happy, lively person that she was.  She was truly a unique person who will be missed by many. Those who ever came into contact with Geri have been blessed.  Her energy and love of life was infectious.  Her smile and laugh put smiles and brought laughter to everyone who interacted with her. I was one of Gerri's regular blood donors and I have made it habbit to donate on every blood drive that came around.  Occassionally, I would be out of town for the KPMG blood drive and have to tell Gerri that I couldn't donate.  Her response was always, "Two Pints from you next time!"

Gerri was a wonderful colleague during my time here at KPMG! Although I did not interact with her daily, she was always a fount of information and was so passionate about the volunteer and charitable events that she organized. She will be truly missed here at KPMG.

Gerri, I will miss your beaming smile that lit up everything around you.  Missy will welcome you to eternal life, having gone just last year.  My heart is with Ken, I know what he is going through.  God welcome you with open arms. -- John Robert Lewis

Gerri was a wonderful perosn and a delight to be around. Kind, caring and always looking out for others. At KPMG and wherever she was, she made others feel special through her kind words and acts of service. You will be  dearly missed.

To Ken & Gerri's family, my deepest condolenses to each of you during this painful and difficult time.  I will continue to pray for you and want you to know how much I appreciate and treasure the time I had with Gerri these past six years.  

A few things that stick out in my mind is how She would always come find me to show me a new piece of jewelry or unique blouse she bought, or a photo from her younger days because she knew how much I like unique things, or pictures of different places she has traveled, or just to hear the story behind one of her many  photos.  

I truly admired her strength and energy and still view her as a great example of how age is only a number, and you can do what you put your heart and mind to do.  Gerri has accomplished so many things people half her age have yet to do...and that has been an encouragement to me and speaks to her as a go-getter; a mover and shaker...she will get it done! 

Gerri and I used to talk and chuckle about her belly dancing classes, her shopping for new or different items for her class and I would simply be in awe.  Wow what an energetic soul!  

She was a wealth of information and I will miss her dearly.  My last embrace and chat with Gerri is forever in my heart and mind and I am grateful.  

Rest in peace dear Gerri, you have fought well, lived a wonderful life,  and impacted so many lives with your love.

To my beautiful friend, I will miss your smile, the facial expressions, the wonderful talks and most of all I will miss you. I will remember all that you gave to so many people. I will remember and cherish all of the laughter and fun times. Hugs and kisses forever, you will always be a part of my life.

Very saddened to hear of Gerri's passing. Over my many years at KPMG, interacting and working with Gerri was always a positive experience and often included a smile and laugh.  She brought great passion to everything she did and will be missed.

They say Margret Thatcher was the Iron Lady ..Wrong Geraldine Patricia Williams over powered her in every way and thing she did, she did with love, kindness and dedication not only for her family and friends but her country.  

Gerri your dedication to your family is not to be questioned, your love to friends you gave in abundance and yet at times I'd remind you to take Gerri time out, do what you want to do, think about yourself. You always place everyone else before yourself, perhaps I understand why you did that as you are doing what you want now and that with the best person you could have asked for.. mommy, the life is internal and will never end, it is beautiful and can never be compared.

Gerri, you may not be her in body but I know you can hear us, you can see us and that brings comfort.

You live within our hearts and minds every minute of the day.

I was saddened when I heard the news that Gerri has left us. She was one of the first people I met after joining KPMG. She had a very genuine way of making me smile and convincing me to donate. She will be missed.

Remarkable person with a personality and smile to match.She will be missed greatly. Ken and family you are in my prayers.

Geraldine you were my big sister and my friend! You were there when ever I needed help to get me through a problem. The memories of all our trips around the world, the mad cap shopping trips to Khol's will forever be a part of me. There is a huge hole in my life that cannot be filled and maybe Mommy needed you more than us! I love you so much go in peace till we meet again.

Gerri was a bright light at KPMG.  She was a wonderful lady whom I had the pleasure of getting to know and the opportunity to work with on many occasions and  on serveral different projects since transferring to the DC office from NY. Gerri was one of the first people I met when coming to KPMG, and I ALWAYS loved running into her at the office.  She never failed to give me a hug and always made me laugh.  I'm incredibly saddened by this loss and will miss her greatly.

This is such a sad message to all of us who knew and worked with Gerri.  Although she was not my direct assistant during my years with Peat Marwick/KPMG, she cared for me and my needs as much as she did for the partners to whom she reported.   Since leaving the firm in the early 90s, I was always greeted by Gerri as if no time had passed and she was glad to see me.  That smile I will never ever forget.  My sympathy to her family and friends.

I was recently hired to KPMG, and she was very thoughtful in responding to requests on opportunities to serve. I really admire her commitment to serve the community and know she will be missed.

Gerri was my friend and colleague for more than 10 years.  When I learned of her passing this morning I was saddened, but most of all shocked.  While going through the initial stages of her treatment, she would explain what was going on, but never led on how serious her illness really was.  This is the kind of person Gerri was, upbeat, energetic and so full of life.  I believed my friend would bounce back and now I have to say "goodbye".  No more lunch trips to Pret or Ann Taylor for our afternoon fix.

Gerri was irreverant, sassy, and just plain FUN! Who wouldn't be drawn to that? I loved working with her and am so glad we extended our work relationship into a full blown friendship. I miss her terribly already and regret not having more time to allow our friendship to deepen. Gerri - Clarke and I will keep Ken close to us, so rest in peace. You deserve it.

Gerri will be truly missed. She was a wonderful colleague and such a giving heart. Gerri has touched so many lives and she was an inspiration to all.  My prayers go out to her family.

Gerri would make her presence known each time she came into our NDPPS room. She was a fun, outspoken, and vibrant person. We will truly miss her!! I extend my condolences and sympathy wishes to her family.

I am so blown over by the news of Gerri's passing.  Call me â€œPollyAnnaâ€ but I was so certain she would beat this thing!  So vital, so full of life, such a presenceâ€¦. One of my last e-mail exchanges with Gerri came in February, when she wrote me, making â€˜light' of her health/blood-challenging situation: â€œI think next time I see you I may just bite you on the neck instead of giving you a kiss on the cheek!â€  (To which I replied, â€œPlease don't bite me on the neck, it'll leave a mark â€¦ and what will my boyfriend say?!) With her bright and cheerful spirit, she lit up every room she entered.  I had the privilege of knowing Gerri, though only for a short year.  She left so many good memories and touched so many lives. She will be greatly missed and remembered.

I was new to KPMG and did not know Gerri.  And then I heard her speak and fell in love with her accent.  I enjoyed working on jeans days and special projects with her.  Her manner and good humor were infectious.  She was truly a unique person!

Gerri was a wonderful friend and an amazing coworker! She was one of the people you could always have a serious conversation with and still be upbeat and happy. She loved working with people, and would light up any room she entered. She was a real bright spot in many people's lives.
