Gary Michael Gise, age 60, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2023 after his hard fought battle with Esophageal Cancer. Gary was a longtime funeral director in the Washington, DC area, having worked the past 15 years of his career with Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home. He was a resident of Boyds, Maryland.
Gary was the beloved and loving husband of Gene Ahalt, devoted father of Maggie (Joe Williams) Gise of Hedgesville, WV, and Logan (Jackie) Gise of Boca Grande, FL, step-father of Evan Ahalt of Frederick, MD; dear brother of Nancy Gise of Randallstown, MD and Ed Gise of York, PA; cherished grandfather of Paige and Tori Williams and Colsyn Ahalt. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends. He will be missed by many.
A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held at The Lutheran Church of St. Andrew, 15300 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring, MD at 12 noon on Friday, April 14th. The family will receive friends one hour prior to start of service. A catered Celebration of Life Party will be held immediately following services at the Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home, 11800 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring from 2 until 4 p.m. Gary has requested that guests wear bright colors or Hawaiian shirts.
