CARBONE, DONALD J. (age 83) On Friday, May 22, 2015, Donald J. Carbone, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of 48 years to Josephine G. Carbone; loving father of Karen Carbone; dear cousin of Sister Ellinda Leichtfeld. Also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Mr. Carbone was Liaison to the White House during the Johnson Administration and worked for FEMA until his retirement. He was a gifted writer, passionate alumnus of Notre Dame and long-time Parishioner of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 from 10 AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 12 NOON at St.John the Baptist Catholic Church, 12319 New Hampshire Ave., Silver Spring, MD.
