Larry, Mirian and I share your grief in the passing of Althea. What a woman, One that you only meet in life. It was indeed a pleasure to see her at the last Washington week end.  Full of life and would allow nothing to hold her back. We have loved her since day one and I believe day one was in the early, early sixties. Larry, hang in there and after 70 years we know it is going to be "tuff." Smile, because we know you have always taken good care of Althea.

Althea is and was and always will be a national treasure. She played a big part in my life very early on when I was so vunerable and just starting Howard. She is the one who told me that my Dad had passed away just a few days after I arrived in DC. She held me up from that day forward, through my years at HU and on.Always steady, always positive and fun and always there. She could solve any problem any of us had.
