He was born on March 6, 1937 in Brazil, TN. to the late John and James Edna Harris Freeman.
On April 26, 1957 he married Lois Peridore Freeman who preceded him in death on December 31, 1994.
He retired from Tetra Pak in Sikeston, MO. after 38 years of service. Tommy enjoyed playing music, dancing and was a jack of all trades.
He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Milan, TN.
He is survived by his special friend, Gale Freeman; one son, Gary Freeman of Fort Smith, AR.; three daughters, Barbara (Gary) Sterling of Bertrand, MO., Wanda (Ken) Lay of Bremen, GA. and Sherry (Jason) Menz of Sikeston, MO.; one brother, Henry Freeman of Jackson, MO.; one sister, Ada Freeman of Kentucky; eight grandchildren, Amber Brown, Richard Oliphant, Mitchell Freeman, Ashley Thomure, Daniel Oliphant, Aaron Menz, Hannah Menz and Adam Menz; nine great-grandchildren, Christian Laminack, Jordan Laminack, Sydney Brown, Mikayla Freeman, Jaxson Freeman, Landyn Thomure, Evan Thomure, Paisley Oliphant and Laylynn Oliphant; two great-great grandchildren, Lilly Laminack and Saint Sherman.
In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by one son, Mitchell Freeman; six brothers and four sisters.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO. with Bro. Joe McCullough, pastor of Murray Lane Baptist Church in Sikeston, MO., officiating.
Interment will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery in Dogwood, MO.
Pallbearers will be Mitchell Freeman, Aaron Menz, Daniel Oliphant, Richard Oliphant, Jason Menz and Jay Freeman.
