He was born on January 4, 1959 in Wyatt, MO to the late Everett and Nola “Diddie” Hampton Hays.
On May 18, 1995 in Sikeston, MO he married Frances “Frannie” Campbell Hays who survives of the home.
He is survived by one daughter, Brittney Phillips (Damardrie Stewart) of Cape Girardeau, MO; one brother, Mike (Cissy) Hays of Macedonia, Ohio; one sister, Mary Jane Hays Stroud of Sikeston, MO; two grandchildren, Myah Hicks and Damardrie “Dra” Stewart Jr. of Cape Girardeau, MO.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Dennis Wayne Hays and Jr. Hays; one sister, Shirley Dixon and one brother-in-law, Gene Stroud.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. until time of memorial service at 7:00 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO.
