Ruby "Ruth" Schaffer

She was born January 31, 1930 in Catron, MO. to the late David and Essie Pearl Rice Buchanan.

On September 30, 1950 in Piggott, AR. she married John Schaffer who preceded her in death on November 24, 2013.

She was a member of North Acres Baptist Church in Sikeston, MO.

Survivors include two daughters, Debbie (Mike) Limberg of Scottsdale, AZ. and Tammy (Lynn) McMackin of Sikeston, MO.; one son Jamie (Sherry) Schaffer of Sikeston, MO.; two brothers, Jimmy Buchanan and Joe Buchanan; one sister, Bonnie Kaminsky; eighteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.

There will be a private family viewing on Thursday April 29, 2021 at Nunnelee funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO. followed by a graveside service at 3:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston, MO. with Lynn McMackin, pastor at Word of Faith Ministries in Morehouse, MO., officiating.
