Ray Lucy

Ray Eugene Lucy, 88, of Sikeston, died May 20, 2015, at the Missouri State Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau. Born January 27, 1927, in Pascola, Mo., to the late Robert and Vera McCollum Lucy, he served in the U.S. Army and had retired from the U.S. Postal Service, where he was employed in the maintenance department. On October 28, 1961, in St. Louis, he married Nadine Box, who survives of the home.

Also surviving is one sister, Beatrise Grissom of Hayti.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Maurice Lucy, and one sister, Barbara McCoy.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. until time of the funeral service at noon on Friday, May 22, at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Len Meyers, pastor of the Trinity Gospel Church of Sikeston, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, with full military honors provided the Missouri Military Honor Guard Unit.
