Born May 26, 1930, in Matthews, MO., to the late Gilbert and Nora Shelton Bohannon.
She married Carl Edward Shelby on May 7, 1949, in Piggott, AR., who preceded her in death on August 19, 1999.
Survivors include: two daughters, Carla Holland and Jim Elrod of Blodgett, MO., and Lori Noon and Jamie Abernathy of Sikeston, MO.; one daughter-in-law, Ann Shelby of Cheyenne, WY.;11 grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one son, Charles Shelby; two brothers, Lowell Bohannon and Jerry Bohannon; and one sister, Maxine Fuhr.
Visitation will be Monday December 9, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO. The Funeral service will be Tuesday December 10, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO., with Rev. Melissa McDowell, officiating. Interment will follow at Matthews City Cemetery in Matthews, MO.
Pallbearers: Chris Shelby, Roy Holland, Don Stone, Chad Fetters, Bruce Bewley, Jordan Hurst and Jakob Nation.
Honorary Pallbearers: Troy Holland and Logan Caines.
