Linda Wages

Born January 16, 1937 in Deventer, Mo to the late Lendell and Mary Slayden Hunt. Linda moved to Bertrand in 1990 and was a long time member of Abundant Grace Church in Bertrand. She was of Baptist belief. Linda attended Bell City Schools and retired from JC Penney in St. Louis. After retiring she began babysitting and loved those kids just like they were her own. Linda was also a great cook.

On May 6, 1952 she married Winford Wages in Piggot, Ar. and he preceded her in death on January 14, 1997.

She was also preceded in death by one son in law, Ronald Givens.

Survivors include two daughters and one son in law, Deborah and Randall West of Bridgeton, Mo, Cynthia Givens of East Prairie; three brothers and three sisters in law, Calvin and Shirley Beach of Mayfield, Ky, Carl and Evelyn Hunt of Bell City, Mo, Harold and Welda Hunt of Jonesboro, Ar; one sister and one brother in law, Loretta and Mike Ellis of Charleston, Mo; four grandchildren, Christopher West, Matthew West, Carrie Berger all of St. Ann, Nicholas Wages of Oran, Mo and 7 great-grandchildren, Kyle Berger, Kaleb Berger, Ashley West, Brian West, Makayla West all of St. Ann, and Seaira and Bhuvana Wages of Oran, Mo.

Visitation will be held at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, Thursday July 19, 2012 from 5-8pm. Services will be held at Abundant Grace Church in Bertrand on Friday July 20, 2012 at 10am. The Rev. Larry Kirby, pastor of the Abundant Grace Church at Bertrand, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
