Leah Beth Somers

She was born on April 29, 1956 in Sikeston, MO to the late Donnie and Kaye Seymour Johnson.

On October 17, 2007 in Poplar Bluff, MO she married Wallace Somers who preceded her in death on September 22, 2020.

She was a member of Morley Baptist Church in Morley, MO. She retired from Kroger in 2018.

She is survived by one son, Gary (Bethany) Mize Jr. of Sikeston, MO; one step-son; two daughters; one step-daughter; one brother, David “Chip” Johnson of Morley, MO; two sisters, Leslie (Steve) Rhyne of Morley, MO and Donna (Mike) Watkins of Sikeston, MO; three grandchildren, Zavior, Zoey and Draven Mize and three special friends, Doug (Sandy) Jones and Linda Kidd.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three brothers, Danny Johnson, Ricky Johnson and Jimmy Johnson and a grandbaby, Baby Mize.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12:00 noon at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO with Bro. Larry Hanner, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO.

Pallbearers will be Zavior Mize, David Heeb, Andrew Pullen, Michael Johnson, James Williams and Gary Mize Jr.

Honorary Pallbearer will be Jay Cookson.
