Janie Marie Stephens

She was born on January 22, 1959 in Bernie, MO. to the late James Henry and Sara Elizabeth Boyt Stephens.

She is survived by three brothers, Voundis W.(Mary) Stephens of Wyatt, MO., James (Patricia) Stephens of Bethalto, and IL. and Phillip (Hatsumi) Stephens of Roxana, IL., along with all of her friends at Shurtz Group Home, Fellowship Baptist Church, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Deloma Barber and Mary Sue Stevens.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 26, 2022 at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston MO. from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Joe McCullough, Pastor of Murray Lane Baptist Church in Sikeston, MO., officiating.

Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery in Pollard, Arkansas

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Shurtz Group Home, 153 S. County Rd. 411, East Prairie, MO .63845.
