He was born on June 13, 1940 to the late Ben and Mary Upchurch in Covington, Tennessee.
James is survived by his three daughters; Linda Upchurch of Sikeston, MO., Marilyn Andrews of Sikeston, MO., and Celeste Upchurch of St. Louis, MO., and two sons, James and Mark Upchurch both of St. Louis, MO., and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour of 3:00 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. Pastor Curtis True of Church on the Rock will officiate.
A private interment will follow at a later date.
