Gerald Anthony DeWitt, 58, of Sikeston, Missouri, died July 16, 2021, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. Born February 25, 1963, in Sikeston, Missouri, to Betty DeWitt of Sikeston and the late Jeff DeWitt. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Cravens DeWitt, of thirty-eight years. Survivors also include: son Brandon Anthony (Cathleen) DeWitt of Cape Girardeau and daughter Brittany Ellen (Zach) Fayette of Sikeston; brother, Kevin DeWitt of Sikeston; five grandchildren William Jefferson DeWitt, Lillian Rose DeWitt, James Anthony DeWitt, Beauregard Cooper Fayette, and Lucille Ellen Fayette. He was the owner and operator of D&S Salvage since it’s opening in 1984. He was a member of the Sikeston Elks Lodge #2319 and was known for his larger than life personality. Visitation will be from 5p.m. to 8p.m. Tuesday, July 20th at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. Funeral services will be held at St. Francis Xavier Church at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 21st in Sikeston. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Eddie Jones, Mike Worth, Fernando Garcia, Jimmy Dodd, David Vaughn, Grant Williams, Marty Presley, and Kyle Duncan. Honorary pallbearers will be: Gary DeWitt, Wayne Parker, Kenny Bell, Lee Taylor, Wayne Smith, Timmy Farrenburg, Tom Green and Darris McIntyre.
