Frances Etta Green, 84, of Sikeston, died Thursday, May 19, 2011 at the Sikeston Convalescent Center. Born May 30, 1926 in Caraway, Arkansas, to the late Frank and Fronia Brazelton House, she had been employed as a dietary cook for the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Sikeston. On November 23, 1946 in Miner, she was married to Owen W. Green, who preceded her in death on June 8, 1995.
Also preceding her in death were six brothers, five sisters, and two grandchildren.
Survivors include: three sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Tricia Green of East Prairie, Ricky and Lois Green of Sikeston, and Randy and Rita Green of Sikeston; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Judy Green of Sikeston, Patsy and Scott Allison of Medras, Oregon, and Tammy and Jim Schleinger of Scott City; one sister-in-law, Myrtle Green of Sikeston; and one cousin, Coleen Lawhead of Jonesboro, Arkansas; along with several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5:00pm until 8:00pm on Sunday, May 22, 2011 at the First Assembly of God Church in Sikeston, where funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:00am, with Rev. Dwayne Maynard, pastor, officiating. He will be assisted by Rev. Jim Calvin, Director of Church Education & Planting of the Southern Missouri District Council. Nunnelee Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Burial will follow at the Armer Cemetery near Bertrand. Pallbearers will be: Mark Green, Jeremy Green, Tyler Green, Hershel Patterson, Terry Bryant and Karl Klimmek. Honorary pallbearers will be: Bob Hinton, Paul Gillean, Bob Brinkley, Ernest Elledge, Russ Whitten, David Whitten, Jerry Alexander and Jerry Green.
