Evelyn Gossett

She was born January 12, 1933 to the late Jess and Lola Kilburn Long of Waynesboro, TN.

On June 18, 1979 in Matthews, MO. She married Daniel Gossett, who preceded her in death on April 3, 2006.

Evelyn is survived by two daughters; Marilyn Ritter and Leann Knuckles of Chaffee, MO.; one brother Frank Long of Tennessee, and five sisters; Dot Brewer of TN., Lois Weaver of TN., Reba Holt of TN., Carolyn Berry of TN., and Deb Brewer of TN.; three grandchildren; DeAnn (Tim) Kirk of Chaffee, MO., Kelley Ritter of Des Moines, Iowa, and Tyler (Amanda) Palmer of Chaffee, MO., along with six great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren, and special friends Judie Harrison and Mikey Price.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by three brothers, Earl Long, James Long, and Floyd Long all from Tennessee; one son Phillip Reeves; and one son-in-law, Billy Ritter.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO. from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Billy Davis officiating.

Interment will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston, MO.

Pallbearers will be: Tyler Palmer, Tim Kirk, Michael Price, and Michael Bayer.
