She was born December 25, 1914, in Ste. Marie, Ill., and was 100 years, 7 months and 27 days old.
Esther was the daughter of the late Francis Michl of Ste. Marie, Ill., and the late Mary Yager Michl of Sikeston, Mo. She was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sikeston, and a homemaker.
On January 10, 1934, Esther and Bernard A. Hann were joined together in Holy matrimony. They had 15 children. Bernard preceded Esther in death on August 28, 1987. Also preceding Esther in death were her brother, Thadeus V. Michl; two sons, Norman R. Hann and Jacques A. Hann; and two grandchildren, Richard Dale Hann and Elizabeth (Dear) Hann.
Esther is survived by six sons: Neil B. Hann of Morehouse, Mo., Phillip A. Hann and Paul E. Hann, both of Dexter, Julian R. Hann of Russelville, Ark, Leon M. Hann of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Joseph F. Hann of Cape Girardeau, Mo.;
seven daughters, Bernadine G. Evans of Troy, Mo., Deloris Maxine Bee and Joan K. Moore, both of Sikeston, Trinita T. Smith of Oakland, Ark., Mary Rita Latham of Matthews, Mo., Mathilda E. McMullin of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and Eileen A. Hann of Morehouse, Mo.
Esther and Bernard had 55 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday August 24, 2015 from 5p.m. – 8p.m. at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, with recitation of the rosary beginning at 7p.m.
The funeral mass will be held Tuesday, August 25, 2015, at 10 a.m. at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, with Rev. Patrick Nwokoye serving as celebrant.
Interment will follow at Garden of Memories in Sikeston, Mo.
