Ellen Geraldine Ward, 67, of Sikeston, died September 3, 2013, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. Born March 31, 1945, in Clarkton, to the late Jay W. and Vergie W. Lacy Ward, she was a nurse’s aide on the pediatric floor at Missouri Delta Medical Center, retiring after 32 years.
Survivors include: one son, Michael Wayne Ward of Sikeston; one sister and brother-in-law, Thressia and Albert Simmons of Sikeston; one niece, Christian Simmons of Sikeston; and one great niece, Fallon Miller of Sikeston.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, September 6, with Rev. Kelley Grubbs, pastor of Murray Lane Baptist Church in Sikeston, officiating.
Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
