Carrie Charlene Johnson

She was born March 8, 1935 in Dogwood, MO., to the late Charles A. and Lela Johnson Lackey.

She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Sikeston, MO.

On August 3, 1963 in Matthews, MO. she married Jimmy P. Johnson who survives of the home in Benton, MO.

In addition to her husband she is survived by four sons, Jimmy (Janet) Johnson of Indianapolis, IN., Darrin (Elizabeth) Johnson of Sikeston, MO., Jeff (Tina) Johnson of Ozark, MO. and Jerry Johnson of Sikeston, MO.; one brother, William “Bill” Lackey of Zanesville, OH.; seven grandchildren, Caleb Johnson, Avery Johnson, Parker Lorenz, Coleman Johnson, Alayna Johnson, Aidan Johnson and Addi Johnson; three great-grandchildren, Bella Johnson, Addie Johnson and River Johnson.

She was preceded in death by five brothers, Woodrow Lackey, Charles “Red” Lackey, George “Pete” Lackey, Carl Lackey and Melvin “Bud” Lackey; two sisters, Mable Best and Elsie Lackey.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO., where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 10:00 a.m., Bro. Joe McCullough, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO.

Pallbearers will be: Jimmy Johnson, Darrin Johnson, Jeff Johnson, Jerry Johnson, Caleb Johnson, Coleman Johnson, Aidan Johnson, Mark Householder, Tony Johnson
