Brenda Jane Mitchell

Brenda Jane Mitchell, 62, of Sikeston, died December 20, 2013, at her home. Born January 31, 1951, in Scott County, to the late Luther H. and Alta Lenora Ellison, she was the office manager for Ron Mitchell Insurance Agency in Sikeston, and was a born-again Christian of Southern Baptist affiliation. She was married to Ron Mitchell on November 29, 1969, in Anniston, and he survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Marvine Ellison of Sikeston and Jim and Linda Ellison of Sikeston; and one sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and Robert Laseter of Sikeston.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Bill W. Ellison.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. on Monday, December 23, at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Kelley Grubbs, pastor of the Murray Lane Baptist Church in Sikeston, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.

Pallbearers will be Mike Ellison, Brandon Throgmorton, Charles Mitchell, Jimmy Ellison, Jr., Robert McKendree and Rob Laseter. Honorary pallbearers will be Joey Burns and Kenneth Ellison.
