She was born on July 17, 1931 in Crowder, MO to the late Leonard and Pearl Burns Jefferies. She was the third of eleven children.
On November 2, 1946 in Piggott, AR she married James Stone who preceded her in death on November 9, 1992.
She was a member at Tanner Street Church of God in Sikeston, MO. She was a resident at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau, MO for six years before moving to Gray Summit, MO.
She is survived by three sons, Jim (Linda) Stone of Advance, MO, David (Betty) Stone of Smith Station, AL and Jeff (Letty) Stone of Sparta, IL; three daughters, June Taylor of Big Arm, MT, Georgia Schwartz of Gray Summit, MO and Judy (Devin) Juenger of Sparta, IL; two brothers, Terry (Marsha) Jefferies of Grain Valley, MO and Ben (Merlene) Jefferies of Sikeston, MO; five sisters, Joyce Jones of Sikeston, MO, Shirley Stuckey of Eureka, MO, Marilyn (Charlie) Bramlett of Sikeston, MO, Marty (Ron) Payne of Sikeston, MO and Karen (Joe “Bob”) Williams of Sikeston, MO; sixteen grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three brothers; one son-in-law and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2023 from 12:00 noon until time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO.
Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston, MO.
Pallbearers will be Tony Vien, Joe Vien, Jesse Vien, Ryne Juenger, Levi Nellis, Mark Lee and Coby McMikle.
