was born on February 16, 1942 to Clarence and Gwendolyn Crumpecker. Ann graduated from
Sikeston High School and then attended William Woods College for two years before
transferring to the University of Missouri where she graduated with a degree in elementary
education. While she worked with different grade levels, she had a passion for fifth grade which
she taught first at Matthews Elementary and at Christ Methodist Day School in Memphis. On
February 14, 1976, Ann married the love of her life, Mike Tucker. They combined their families
and, together, raised three children. While she lived in Sikeston, Ann was active in the Colesce
Club, the Humane Society, and a bridge club. After moving to Memphis, she joined the Ladies
of St. Jude, served a term as the house corporation advisor for the Tri Delta Chapter at Rhodes,
and was active at Advent Presbyterian Church. Ann retired from teaching to spend more time
with Mike and her family. After his death, Ann went back to work at Memphis Boys Town where
she worked as a tutor and, eventually, started a vocational class teaching the boys how to run a
catering business. Ann retired permanently and turned her focus to her children and
grandchildren. Her two grandsons spent many weekends with her and she rarely missed a
sporting event, birthday party, play, concert, or Grandparents’ Day celebration.
Ann is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Crumpecker and Gwendolyn Crumpecker
and her husband E.B. Tucker, Jr. (Mike). She is survived by her brothers, Clarence (Skip)
Crumpecker, Jr. (Cheryl) of Kansas City, Missouri and Bradbury Crumpecker (Robyn), of Dallas,
Texas, three children, Kathy Caldwell (John) of Memphis, Tennessee, Leigh DelBuono (Dan) of
Southington, Connecticut, and Bill Hannah of Memphis, Tennessee. She has four
grandchildren Ashly Perry (Jim), Alisha DelBuono, Tucker Caldwell, and Wesley Caldwell and
three great grandchildren, Tucker Florian, Joshua Florian, and Evelyn Perry.
