Born September 6, 1933, in Kewanee, MO., to the late James Albert and Iva Lanning Harp.
He married Ann Lewis Harp on April 7, 1956 in Morehouse, MO., who preceded him in death on September 10, 2006.
He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served in WWII. He worked for Towery farms for 30 years until he retired in 2015 due to health reasons.
Survivors include: two sons and two daughter-in-laws, Kenny and Valada Harp of Benton,MO. and Timothy and Kimberly Harp of Morley, MO.; five daughters and four son-in-laws, Carol and Charles DeBerry of Dexter, MO., Glenda and Carl Hester of Dexter, MO., Julie Hays of Sikeston, MO., Teresa and Grady Lutes of Oran, MO., and Lisa and Terry Burton of Sikeston, MO.; two brothers, Franklin Harp of St. Louis, MO., and Tommy Harp of Sikeston, MO.; one sister, Daisy Lewis of Sikeston, MO.; 15 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by one son, Allen “Wayne” Harp, nine brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be held Monday, December 11, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO. with Rev. Kenny Harp and Pastor Josh Hester, officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston, MO. with full military honors.
