DENSMORE, Katherine “Kaye” 81, Densmore Mills. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our Mother Katherine (Fenton) Densmore formerly of East Noel. Born at Upper Rawdon she was a daughter of the late Guy and Lulu (Casey) Fenton. She was a school teacher for many years in the communities of Northfield, South Rawdon, and Maitland, and a life member of the Eastern Star. For over thirteen years she was a 4H leader and also a member of the Women’s Institute of East Noel where she owned and operated Kaye’s Diner. She was a district representative for Avon products and was employed with Cara Operations at the Stanfield Airport .Most of all she was a Mother and operated with her husband the family farm at East Noel. Surviving are sons Everett (Marilyn) of Liverpool, Brian (Shelley) of East Noel, Deryck (Paula) Harvey N.B., Ora (Garfield) of Upper Rawdon, Valerie (Bob) of Dutch Settlement, Dianna (Chris) of East Noel, Darlene (Gerry) of Enfield, 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving are a sister Nora (Len) Praught of Waverley and a brother Glynn of Greenwich. She was predeceased by her husband Wilmont, her parents Guy and Lulu Fenton, brothers Everett, Kenneth, Erwin and a sister Ruth. Visitation Friday 2-4 &6-8pm, Friday, funeral service 1:30 pm, Saturday both in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Hwy 2, Shubenacadie, Rev. Canon David Fletcher officiating assisted by Rev. Patricia McKenna. Committal services will be in the in Noel Cemetery at 3:30pm Saturday. Donations may be made in memory of Kaye may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation, Lung Association or the Noel Cemetery.
