Elizabeth Jean Ross

ROSS, Elizabeth Jean -91, Brookfield, formerly of Middle Musquodoboit, passed away peacefully January 14, 2012 at Elk Court, Brookfield with her family by her side. Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Alexander and Katherine (Archibald) McGillivray. She worked at the Musquodoboit Valley Memorial Hospital for several years. Elizabeth was involved in various community groups in Middle Musquodoboit. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She will be sadly missed by her son Walter Ross, Chaswood; daughters, Elaine(Laurence) Eisenhauer, Middle Sackville; Katherine(Clayton) Carroll, Upper Stewiacke; Claire Shannon(Ernie McLean), Central Onslow; daughter-in-law, Ruth Ross, Truro; brothers, Archie (Sylvia) McGillivray, Pembrook; Robert(Barbara) McGillivray, Calgary; sisters-in-law Fern McGillivray, South Branch; Jeannine Pauquette, Halifax; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Daniel; sons Gordon and Donald; brothers Hugh, Douglas and Lyle McGillivray ; daughter-in-law Bonnie Ross. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. Visitation will be 7-9pm Monday January 16, 2012 in Middleton United Church, Middle Musquodoboit, from where the funeral service will be held 2pm Tuesday January 17, 2012, Rev. Annika Sangster officiating. Spring interment will be in Pioneer Cemetery. Family flowers only, memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
