Donald Don Merle White

WHITE, Donald Merle “Don” – 80, Dartmouth, passed away at his home peacefully with family at his side on July 24, 2012. Born in Middle Musquodoboit he was the son of the late Lee and Rachel (Fulton) White. Don was employed as a Personal Officer for over 30 years with the National Harbour Board. In his younger years he played hockey and baseball and also enjoyed brook fishing. He was a past member of the Oddfellows Lodge in Middle Musquodoboit. He loved to travel, particularly Disney World with his family. He is survived by his wife Jean (Burns), sons Robert (Bev), Dartmouth; Don, South East Asia; grandsons Tyson (Amber), Evan and Patrick; great granddaughter Mia. He was predeceased by a son Eugene. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home. No visitation by request. Funeral service 4pm, Monday, July 30 in the Middleton United Church, Middle Musquodoboit, Rev. Annika Sangster officiating. Interment in the Pioneer Cemetery. A reception will follow.
