Colleen Gloria Pridham

Colleen G. Pridham who was one extraordinary lady passed away gracefully on Friday morning in her home in Truro, July 6th, 2012 after her courageous battle with cancer. Among her many accomplishments Colleen was a long standing member of the Elmsdale Chamber of Commerce, the Elmsdale Legion and the receiver of many awards including the Governor General Award. Colleen was best known during her residency at 29 Thompson Lane, Elmsdale, for her outstanding work as the President of the Tri Country Literacy Council in Elmsdale. During her many years as president and teacher with the Tri Country Literacy Council she enhanced the lives of countless members of the community of all ages by aiding them with their literacy skills and encouraging all to be the best they could be. Colleen was a beacon to all who knew her by unfailingly displaying her love for life, animals, friends and family. Beloved wife of Harry Pridham of Truro. Mother to Shawn and Grant Wootton of Ontario and step Mother to Ann and Bob Pridham of Truro. Friends and family are invited to join us for a Memorial Celebration of her life on Sunday July 8th, 2012 at 7PM at the Legion Hall Branch #48, Highway #2, Elmsdale. The family would like to thank all those from the VON and the Palliative Care of the Colchester Regional Hospital who made Colleen’s passing as dignified and comfortable as possible.

In lieu of flowers donations to the local Cancer Centre or SPCA would be most appreciated by the family.
