

CARROLL, Anna Margaret – 74, Enfield, passed away peacefully April 5, 2011, surrounded by her family in the Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Enfield she was a daughter of the late Russell and Mary Christina (King) O’Neill. Anna was a homemaker and famous for her chocolate cakes all her life. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed embroidery work. She will be sadly missed by her loving children Mary (Ricky) MacAskill, Nine Mile River; Juanita (Aurel) Labre, Garson, ON; Donna (Raymond) Labre, Sudbury, ON; Anne (Ivan) Macumber, Walton; Jackie (Darren) Deevey, Enfield; Veronica (Richie) Thompson, Enfield; only son Ellis (Trina) Elmsdale; her only living sister Mary McKeen, Enfield; 19 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, whom she thought the world of; several nieces and nephews; and her best buddy Scooter; . She was predeceased by her husband Frank in 2003, her best friend Frankie Lawson in 2010, sisters Theresa, Sophie and Chris, brothers Tony, Gerald, Leo and Ralph. Visitation 2-4 & 6-8pm, Friday, in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Hwy 2, Shubenacadie. Funeral service 11am, Saturday, April 9, in St. Bernard’s Roman Catholic Church, Enfield, Father Andrew Rembarczyk presiding. Donations in memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
