William "Bill" L. Bone Jr.

Bill was born in Shreveport, LA on February 13, 1953 to the late William and Fadra Bone. Bill graduated from C.E. Byrd High School and joined the United States Navy. Bill trained not only young sailors in seamanship but also officers alike in underway replenishment. He served for 20 years.

His talents did not stop with the Navy. Bill later became a dive equipment maintenance technician. He was then hired for scuba maintenance, safety diver, crane operator, and finally as an instructor training Army pilots on how to survive a surprise in water landing.

He later resided in Mariette, WI with longtime girlfriend Mary Syrette and became a local school bus driver.

He is survived by his son Billy Bone and grandchildren Lillian and Brock Bone.

A celebration of life was held on July 1, 2023 from 1-5pm at the Looper's Lounge Murray Bro's CaddyShack located at 455 S. Legacy Trl, St. Augustine, FL 32092. Burial will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Centuries Memorial Park in Shreveport, Louisiana.
