Vera C. Brittain

Vera was a resident of Shreveport for most all of her life. She married Amos Jordan Brittain and had two sons, Richard Jordan Brittain and Casey Dale Brittain.

Vera was a member of Summer Grove Baptist Church and was a devoted Christian every day of her life. She was always caring, loving and giving to everyone who knew her. Vera excelled in every aspect of her life and was a devoted daughter, wife and mother.

Left to cherish her memory are her two sons and beloved daughter-in-law, Susan Brittain; her granddaughter, LaShea Brittain; her two sisters, Bobbye Loraine King and Hazel Lois Jacobs; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Her wonderful, always loving Christian approach to life will be missed by everyone who knew her.

Special thanks to Christus Schumpert Hospice and Palliative Care and most of all her devoted, caring friend, Donna Liberto, who lived with her and gave daily care and devotion.

Funeral services for Vera will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at 12 p.m. at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 10 a.m. until service time.
