Tommy Joe (TJ) Anderson Jr., aged 46, of Shreveport, Louisiana, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2024. Born in Shreveport to Mary Anderson and the late Tommy Joe Anderson Sr., TJ's vibrant spirit touched the lives of many.
Though he had no children of his own, TJ's love knew no bounds, especially when it came to his nieces and nephews, whom he cherished as his own. Family meant everything to him, and he poured his heart into ensuring their happiness and well-being.
TJ had a zest for life that was contagious. With a passion for fishing, motorcycles, and crafting knives, he pursued his interests with unwavering enthusiasm. His adventurous spirit found solace in the vast expanse of the ocean, his favorite retreat.
In TJ's company, there was never a dull moment. His infectious laughter and boundless energy lit up any room, leaving heartfelt memories with all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving mother Mary Anderson, his siblings Butch Anderson (Lisa) and Trishia Miller (Mark), and his nephews; Colton Anderson and family, Trace Anderson and family, Chance Anderson, George Johnson, his nieces; Toni Thompson and family, Sydney Anderson, Shelby Lee and family, Misty Gilland and family, and Christina Carroll and family.
TJ was preceded in death by his father Tommy Joe Anderson Sr., paternal grandparents, Peck and Patsy Anderson, maternal grandparents, Eolden and Sally Marie Wall and his uncle, Skeeter Anderson.
A celebration of TJ's life will be held at graveside on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at 3:30 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home & Park, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in TJ's memory may be made to Alzheimer's Association, reflecting the love for his late father, Tommy and mother, Mary, who is still struggling.
TJ's legacy of love, laughter, and adventure will forever be cherished by those whose lives he touched.
