Susan Syble Stalnaker Antala, born on February 2, 1971, in Shreveport, Louisiana, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2023. A cherished wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and best friend; Susan loved, embraced, and accepted all those that crossed her path, regardless of their walk of life.
One to live her life with a bit of flair, Susan was always up for a spontaneous trip, concert, or a new pair of sassy shoes but there was also a softer side of Susan. A side that enjoyed antiquing and cactus gardening. A side that enjoyed a relaxing evening at home playing Scrabble, and above all else, a side that enjoyed spending time with her closest family and friends and always ensuring that those around her felt loved.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Cestmir Antala and daughters Natalie and Olivia Antala, of Shreveport, Louisiana; parents John Hamilton Stalnaker and Lorraine Linder, of Shreveport, Louisiana, and James Ronald and Sylvia Hale Lindsey of Springhill, Louisiana; older brother, John David Stalnaker and wife, Bettye Stalnaker of Haughton, Louisiana; younger brother, Charles Stalnaker and partner, Elinor White of Shreveport, Louisiana; eldest brother, Jay Stalnaker of Dallas, Texas; uncle, Jack Stalnaker of Houston, Texas; nieces and nephews, Jason Rinaudo, wife, Christina and son, Caleb of Bossier City, Louisiana, Christina Gensch, husband William and their children Madison and Christian of Missouri, Sarah Stalnaker Stahel and husband Andy Stahel of Houston, Texas, Liam White and Zeke White of Shreveport, Louisiana; and countless friends that she considered family.
She is preceded in death by her grandmothers, Syble Davis and Juanita Tolar.
