Stephen (Steve) Tyndall Davis, born on March 3, 1955 in Shreveport, LA passed from this life on Thursday August 6, 2020. Stephen was the youngest son of Hollis H. and Samizel Davis. He was proceeded in death by his Father Hollis H. Davis.
A devoted and loving husband and son he leaves behind his wife Tammy Marie Hawkins of 23 years, mother Samizel Tyndall Davis. His brother and sister-in-law Hollis H. and Pam Davis. Nephew and wife Bryce and Mikisha Davis. Their children Eleanor and Mattie Jo. His niece and husband Delany and Doug Stanley.
Steve was a student and football player at Northwood High School and graduated from there in 1974.
Right after graduation he joined the US Navy. He served on the USS Reclaimer as a engine mechanic from 1974 to 1977 during the Vietnam War. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. He was stationed at several places, but at the end he was in Guam. During his time of service he learned to love being at sea and the love of travel. He had his own business, Davis Floor Service.
Steve had several interest in his life. He loved working on engines, which explains why he loved all kinds of car racing. He also had a lot of fun off roading with TLJ. Being he was from Louisiana he was a big fan of LSU and Saints Football.
A memorial service for Stephen will be held at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery on Tuesday October 26, 2021 at 2:00 p.m.
