Shirley Ann Steinhauser Berthelot

Shirley Ann Steinhauser Berthelot, age 86, of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022. She was born September 12, 1935 in Longview, Texas to Mabel Coleman Steinhauser and Eric L. Steinhauser.

Shirley graduated from C.E. Byrd High School in Shreveport. After high school she met and married the love of her life, Charles Aulden Berthelot, Sr.. They spent 65 loving years together with four children, five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Shirley was a homemaker and devoted mom and grandmother. She was a dedicated member of the Daughters of the Nile for many years.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Chet Berthelot and wife Debbie and Chris Berthelot, her grandchildren, Karly Harper, Cody Berthelot, Rachel Schillage, Sarah Berthelot and Chelsee Wilkins, and eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; son, Charles Aulden Berthelot, Jr.; a stillborn Daughter and her parents.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 10:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108. Shirley will be laid to rest in Centuries Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers are E. Ray Steinhauser, Tom LaFortune, Lynn Arnold, Bill Bagley, Cody Berthelot, and Daniel Beshiri. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Eddie Shinault, Don Chandler, Robert McNaughton, Rodney Oar and Jared Harper.

The family would like to thank the staff at Garden Park for their excellent care. They would also like to thank very special friends Leona Jones and Tammy Daniels for their love and support.
