Ryan Rough, age 36, of Shreveport, Louisiana went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 15, 2023 at The Guest House from complications of diabetes, that had left him disabled and needing a kidney and pancreas transplant. This gave him hope that he needed to continue the fight.
Ryan worked as a Warehouse/Stocker for Goodwill Industries at the BAFB Commissary. He served as Youth Minister Intern, and Sunday School Teacher at South Bossier Baptist Church. Ryan was a faithful servant and found great joy in serving the Lord at South Bossier Baptist Church. He was a passionate New Orleans Saints fan and enjoyed buying and selling football memorabilia.
Ryan was known for his gentle, soft spoken demeanor. He had a heart for helping people, even ones he had not met, counseling, mentoring and praying for them. Ryan had a toughness that no one could see as he went through his health problem.
Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Linda Lafield; dad, Byron Lafield; brother, David Rough; aunts, Carolyn Sorrells, Linda Lafield, and Trudy Aboud; uncles, Danny Sorrells, Joe Lafield, and Harry Lafield; cousins, Denton Sorrells, Kerie Padilla, Jessica Bundy and Matt Pettey.
He was preceded in death by his great grandmother, Francis Johnson, grandmothers, Barbara Baker and Janet Christner; Jack and Kate Lafield; uncles, Lawson Pettey and Dough Pettey.
