SHREVEPORT, LA - Russell Duke Hayes, 48, went to heaven on December 13, 2014 of complications from a heart attack. A celebration for his life will be held on Tuesday December 16, 2014 from 6 to 8 pm at Centuries Funeral Home.
Duke was born on February 4, 1966 in Shreveport, LA. After graduating from Huntington High School in 1983, Duke began his career as a home builder.
Duke loved the outdoors. Hunting and fishing were among his favorites.
Duke was preceded in death by his father, George L. Hayes Jr. and grandparents, George L. and Rosalie Hayes Sr. and Ed and Amanda Montgomery.
Duke is survived by his wife Jennifer L. Hayes and his four children, Hailey Marie Hayes, Casey Elizabeth Hayes, Russell Duke Hayes Jr. and Anna Lynn Hayes, his mother, Mary Lou Hayes, his brothers, George L. Hayes III, David Hayes, and Skipper Hayes and wife Brenda, and his nieces Ashley Hayes-Cage and Amber Hayes.
