Ronald “Ron” Ray Morris was born to James and Annice Morris on October 20, 1949 in Shreveport, Louisiana where he grew up. After graduation Ron attended Louisiana Tech. He was a man of God and a fellow Christian. He was passionate about traveling the world. Ron was greeted at the gates of heaven by his son Russell Ray Morris, father James, and mother Annice Morris and our Lord. Left to cherish his memory is his granddaughter Chelsea Campos and husband Grego and their daughters Audrina, Rayleigh and Evelynn; life partner of 27 years, JR Winkler; brother, Kevin Morris; sister, Vickey Ray; nieces, Leighann, Kara, Tami, Terra, and Tye, along with many more family members.
Ron and JR shared two fur babies that they both loved and adored, Boots and Fiona. Ron met and married Diane Storey and together they had a son, Russell. He was the light of Ron’s life and his best friend. When Russell unexpectedly passed in 2005, Ron embraced the role of a father to Russell’s daughter Chelsea. He cherished her with all of his heart along with her three daughters who meant everything to him. Ron also shared a very close relationship with his traveling buddies, Kent Smith Adams and Sandra.
Ron loved his job of 20 plus years at Advanced Healthcare Solutions. He appreciated his boss Mary Pfeifer and enjoyed working with his coworkers, Dee Holman, Charles Bowen, Roland Tapia and many more.
A visitation for Ron will be held Monday, November 1, 2021 at 12:00 PM in the Chapel at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road Shreveport, Louisiana 71108 with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 1:00 PM. Interment will be at Centuries Memorial Park.
