Ronald Joseph Bennett

Bossier City, LA A celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 25, 2014, 11:00 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Shreveport, LA with Msgr Earl V. Provenza officiating. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be Friday, October 24, 2014 from 5 until 7 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.

Ron went to be with the Lord on October 22, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 34 years, Linda Carmack Bennett; daughter, Brittany Morgan Bennett Williams and husband John. Two adorable grandsons he loved dearly, Jett Bennett and Jaxx Britton Williams who lovingly referred to him “Papa”. Two daughters in Kansas Shaylon Bennett, fiancé Terry Flynn and Lori Slavin, husband Troy with their children Shelby and Nick. Ron was blessed to have met his newest great-nephew Sawyer Cruz Sams.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents Earl Ross Bennett and Teresa Grace Bennett.

Employed with Interface Security Systems for nearly 20 years, Ron enjoyed his work and helping the community. He was a member of Business Exchange Incorporated for over 22 years.

He loved spending time with family, especially his grandsons watching them play wee ball and cheering on the LSU Tigers.

We would like to thank John Bruce Williams for all the love and support he has given the family during this difficult time, Also family and loved ones for all the thoughts, text and prayers .

Pallbearers will be his co-workers at Interface Security Systems-Bill Shirley, Jason Langford, Gary Thompson, Alan Marks, Robert Blue and Tom Monahan.
