Roger D. Pender

A Life Celebration for Roger is scheduled for Friday, April 7, 2017, 11AM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Serving as officiant is Bro Mike Stowell of Keithville First Baptist Church. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 9:30 AM until service time.

Roger loved fishing, hunting, camping and riding his Harley. He also loved spending time with his family and friends. Roger retired from the Caddo Parish School Board in 2010 after thirty three years of service. He loved out loud and lived life to its fullest. We will miss so much the way he could always make us smile and laugh. Roger spent many years playing softball and made many memories and friends along the way.

Preceding Roger in death are his father, John Pender, and his infant son Roger Dale Pender, Jr. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Theresa Pender; son Chris Pender with wife Angel; mother Evelyn Pender; brothers Ronnie Pender with wife Brenda and Robert Pender; step-children Jimmy Crow, Jayme Bollinger and Jayce Hurdle; and his pride and joy—grandchildren Bailey and Maddie Pender, Kason Crow and Avery Stanton.

Honoring Roger as pallbearers are Buddy Babin, Ronnie Herring, Terry Womack, Rodney Herren, Richard Stollings, Randy Hines, Steve Horn and Randy Watson. Honorary pallbearers are Ray Phelps and Gene Little.

The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at Willis Knighton Pierremont ICU for their compassionate care, and offer a special thank you to Dr. Robert Hernandez.

Roger will be missed by many, but NEVER forgotten.
