Robert Charles Jefferson Sr., of Shreveport, Louisiana went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at the age of 69. Greeting him at the gates of heaven are his parents, Reuben and Annie Mae Jefferson, his grandmother, Rebecca Holmes and his siblings, George, Kenneth, and Annie Irene.
A visitation for Mr. Robert will be held Monday, November 22, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108. Following the visitation will be a celebration of life at graveside at 1:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Park, where he will be laid to eternal rest. Honoring him as pallbearers will be Ronnie Jefferson, Rico Jefferson, Robert Charles Jefferson Jr., Bryan Douglas, Kevin Jefferson and Steven Jefferson.
Born in Lake Providence, Louisiana to Reuben and Annie Mae on October 24, 1954, Robert Charles Jefferson was a part of a large family having nine brothers and sisters. He held many jobs during his life. Robert worked as a Pipeline Technician, a Barber and owner of his own Snow Plowing business. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He also was an excellent handyman and a master griller. Robert truly was a jack-of-all-trades and was good at everything he put his mind to. He was a caring and giving person who will be deeply missed by those who he loved and those that loved him.
Left to cherish his memory are his Wife, Selma Jefferson; Children, Sonji Quick, Colby Burr, Sherrill Lee, Tessia Dodds, Robert Charles Jefferson Jr., Rico Jefferson and Rebecca Jefferson; Sister, Debra Douglas; Brothers, Reuben Jefferson, Alfred Jefferson, Ronnie Jefferson and Reginald Jefferson; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family is forever grateful to all the family, friends and coworkers for their prayers, thoughtful words, and love during this difficult time.
