Peggy Longino Wilkins, of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at the age of 83. She was born June 21, 1938 in Coushatta, Louisiana to J. Y. Longino and Ella May LeGrand Longino. She worked for many years at Commercial Bank, what is now Chase bank, as a loan officer.
Peggy was a very intelligent and very giving person. When she was a young woman, she loved sewing. She enjoyed making baby clothes for her daughter, nieces and nephews to wear. Though she was often private, she loved get togethers with her family and looked forward to big holiday dinners. She also loved talking on the phone for hours in the evening with close friends. Her family was the most important thing in her life and her biggest accomplishment.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Tiffani Mitchell; sister, Patsy Zittrauer; grandsons, Brandon Mitchell and Cody Mitchell; granddaughter, Kristen Mitchell; one great grandson, Robert Wray; nephews, Kevin Zittrauer and Karl Zittrauer; Niece, Kandy Hemmer and many great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, J. Y. and Ella May Longino; brother, Kenneth Longino; brother-in-law, Preston Zittrauer and son-in-law, Gary Mitchell.
A visitation for Peggy will be held Friday, July 23, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108, followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 PM. Officiating the service will be Pastor Jimmy Malone. Honoring her as pallbearers will be Brandon Mitchell, Chase Zittrauer, Tim Jackson, and Cody Mitchell.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Peggy's memory may be made to Dementia Society of America.
