Shreveport, LA- Funeral services celebrating the life of Paula Kilpatrick, 81, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 6, 2014 at the Life Tabernacle Church, 4445 Meriwether Rd., Shreveport, LA 71109. Officiating will be Pastor Sam Carr and Pastor Kevin Craig. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2014 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.
Mrs. Kilpatrick was born on December 25, 1932 in Stewart, MS and passed away on June 2, 2014 in Shreveport, LA. Paula was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her relationship with the Lord was very important to her and she dedicated her life to teaching and leading others. She touched many lives spiritually and emotionally and her testimony inspired many people. Mrs. Kilpatrick authored two books about her life and faith. Paula and her husband traveled extensively to share their Christian faith and testimonies with others. Mrs. Kilpatrick was a great cook and her family and friends loved her famous BBQ sandwiches. Paula had a great sense of humor and the ability to always make others smile. She loved to give to others and to help everyone she could. Paula lived a life rich with faith and always had a servant’s heart.
Mrs. Kilpatrick was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Charles E. Kilpatrick; her parents; one brother, Douglas McGarrh and one sister, Margaret Lamb.
Left to cherish beautiful memories of Paula are her children, Thomas Kilpatrick and wife Olivia, Karen Kilpatrick Williams and husband Ernie and Kelly Kilpatrick Craig and husband Kevin; two sisters, Phyllis McGarrh and Lin Ross; 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
