Opal was born October 16, 1921 in Many, Louisiana, to Jim Tom and Sadie Brumley. She met and married the love of her life, Floyd Clark, on May 1, 1941. They lived in Shreveport for over 57 years, and were married 68-1/2 years. After retirement they loved to travel and had enjoyed camping all over the U.S., sometimes with friends, and sometimes with relatives. They loved working side by side in their shop, creating items out of wood, which they shared with family and friends.
Floyd passed away in 2009 and Opal lived alone for several years. But in 2019 she made a decision to move near her daughter and son-in-law in Hot Springs, Arkansas, where she remained until her passing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Clark, a son, F. Ron Clark, her parents, 7 older siblings, and several nieces and nephews. She is survived by her daughter, Amelia “Millie” Woods, son-in-law, Will Woods, 5 grandchildren: Sabra Allbritton (Rusty), Daphne Cates (Mike), Gwen Perkins (Mark) Geoffrey Moseley and Lorne Moseley (Autumn), great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Will Woods, Rusty Allbritton, Mark Perkins, Geoffrey Moseley, Lorne Moseley, and D. J. Moseley.
