Nancy Hamil-Sandifer

Nancy Alice Gray Hamil-Sandifer, of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away on Friday, August 19, 2022 at the age of 84. She was born November 3, 1937 in Emerson, Arkansas to Ruby and James Gray. Nancy retired from Shriners Hospital in 2011 where she was a payroll coordinator for twenty plus years. She enjoyed being outside, pruning shrubs, raking leaves, watering the yard, tending to potted plants and any other yards work she could think of. She was quiet, loyal, stubborn and resilient.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Mark Hamil and Kenneth Hamil and wife Denise; daughter Susan Hamil Hoff and husband Lynn; daughter-in-law, Millie Hamil, and grandchildren, Glenn Lambright, Mark D. Hamil, Jordan Hamil Garner, Dwan Lawson and Emily Blair, and siblings Mary Louise Gray and George Harper Gray. She is also survived by several great and great-great grandchildren.

Nancy was preceded in death by her son, Guy W. Hamil; grandson, Chad Lambright; her parents and siblings, Ruby Jean Compton, James Revis Gray and Walter Gray.

A visitation for Nancy will be held Thursday, August 25, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108, followed by a celebration of life at 2:30 PM. She will be laid to rest in Centuries Memorial Park. Officiating the service will be Ministers Trevor Blair and Emily Blair.
